    Hi janezek....welcome

it looks like your GFX driver is not being detected....

can you game..?? download ''GPUZ'' & check the driver status...

try removing your driver completely & reinstalling, if that fails to correct it, you may need to reseat your card.

    hey!

i can game, mirrors edge is working perfect, no problems with anything else, just fan speed! i did remove drivers, and install new one, and remove drivers and install default one from win update, and still nothing! on vista and XP is working normal, so i am guesing its a driver problem?

ok.... so it works on vista & XP...

have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling rivatuner..?? that might help...

or download a few more apps capable of fan control.....EVGA precision, galaxy EXTREME tuner... there may be a few more, but try these & see if anything will detect the fan..

also enter your device manager & make sure your drivers are all functioning & up to date.... there will be a small ''warning'' icon next to anything that needs attention..

yes, try it several times, no changes, download many apps, and no fan control anywhere, check in device manager, all good! the only thing i found that is wrong is that the card is recognised as 8800 GS, with 4 difrent drivers!

I have that exact same card and I also use RivaTuner with no problem like you're seeing. I've used the last 3 Nvidia drivers to date and now I'm on 182.06.
What version of Nvidia Control Panel and what version of RivaTuner are you using?
I believe it's all because your card doesn't seem to be properly recognized by the driver. Are you sure you clicked on the right card model when using the Nvidia driver download page?

i found this quote from the XFX website, regarding the 320mb G80...

The DELTA BFB1012L blower fan operates very quietly, with light sounds only at startup. Although there is no noticeable speed control programmed into the fan, I was able to make use of the NVIDIA nTune application to control fan speed and raise (or lower) output from the default value of 60% power through the direct fan control applet.

it appears this guy had some luck with the latest version of ''NTUNE''....

If you don't want to keep messing with fan speeds I've done bios mods, though the 8800 series had crappy fan detection and speed control on there bios, so I just set it to a 2d/3d speed instead of temp control. it's what i use now, crappy fan speed =(
