I keep losing video
Over the past month I keep losing video. When that happens I have to turn off the computer and reboot. WhoCrashed is stating that there is a problem with the video driver. An example is:
On Tue 7/16/2024 10:44:13 AM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
Crash dump file: C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG\WD-20240716-1044.dmp (Minidump) Bugcheck code: 0x117(0xFFFFFA8009B3D010, 0xFFFFF880041C30A4, 0x0, 0x0) Bugcheck name: VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED Driver or module in which error occurred: atikmpag.sys (atikmpag+0x60A4) File path: atikmpag.sys Description: AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver Product: AMD driver Company: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Bug check description: This indicates that the display driver failed to respond in a timely fashion. Analysis: This is a video related crash. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.
It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver:
atikmpag.sys (AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.).
Google query: atikmpag Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED
One however shows that the graphics stopped working.
Most of the mini dmp files have corrupted. I had to check the option for kernal reports to get this much information. How do I determine of this is a driver issue or if there is something wrong with my card? Also what's the best monitoring program for monitoring AND recording logs so that I can figure out what the f^&* going on? I just installed gpu-z. Is there something better that's on the south side of 1 heading towards 0?On Mon 7/8/2024 11:10:39 AM your computer crashed or a problem was reported

Analysis: This is a video related crash. A DirectX driver was identified on the stack. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, it is suggested that you look for an updated driver for your graphics hardware. It's also possible that your graphics hardware was non-functional or overheated.
IfWhen this happens again what do I look for in the logs? I have sprayed all the fans with compressed air. No dust came out of the gpu heatsink.
