    Graphics card working properly?

I recently replaced my computer’s monitor. From a graphics perspective, my computer has a Radeon RX 560 series, driver V27.20, graphics card and a Samsung Odyssey G51C 32" monitor. Looks great.
However, when I jiggled the mouse to wake my computer, the monitor sometimes took ~15-30 seconds to engage. I know that the monitor was on because icons of the three connection ports appeared, one at a time, in the upper left corner. I also know that the computer was on because I saw the disk access light flash.
Today, after several minutes of no image appearing on the monitor, I used my laptop, remote logged into my desktop, and then rebooted. After rebooting, the monitor was on without issue.
Question: Does this pattern of activity suggest that something could be wrong with the video card?

Turns out that the HDMI cable needed to be replaced. Problem resolved.
