    Problems with multiple screens

I have a 2 screen arcade game running 7. I had it running for years until I upgraded my video card. I was running a 1050ti and 2 1080p screens.

I recently upgraded to a 3060ti, but I'm having driver/screen problems. My Nvidia driver wouldn't install so I used a program to ignore the "not digitally signed driver" from Nvidia. Now I have a 1080p screen working, but no 2nd screen. If I unplug the 2nd screen and plug it into another port on the card, the 2nd screen will light up. (It's not a bad port or cord, I have to move the plug for the computer to see the 2nd screen). BUT, the 2nd screen will only be 1024x768, AND windows will not remember at reboot.

I had a working setup with the old video card, so I know my cords are good, and both screens are 1080p. For some reason I can't use the onboard HDMI on my MB either.

    My setup is:
    Asrock X470 mb
    Ryzen 5 2600
    8gb ram
    3060ti
    Windows 7

    Anyone have any ideas?

Here's why 2 screens are important.

I think my issue is the driver isn't digitally signed. I tried installing the certificate on each .dll, but it didn't work.

I would try to remove the old drivers first. Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.8.1 Try a manual install by extracting the files using 7z and use device management to install them as per this thread. Unable to install Nvidia drivers for 3060 Ti graphics card on Windows 7 [SOLVED] - Windows 7 - MSFN As for using the integrated port you can't use both a card and integrated graphics. It's one of the other.

Thanks townsbg. I was actually through those threads (and attached links) early this morning. As well as using DDU like 10 times.

I also tried the patched files from Github and everything.

    Here's where I'm at now:
After an uninstall, I was able to install 474.11. (I had read it didn't have certificate issues so I tried it). That driver is working. In the device manager I have no errors and it says it's working properly.

I don't have a 2nd screen unless I use rigorous detection display, then move the cord to another port. Then the 2nd screen lights up at a low resolution. I'm reading about a displayport bug with Nvidia. They have a tool on their site which fails and doesn't work. I think my last problem is due to whatever bug I'm reading about from Nvidia.

Try an older version. Some times there are problems with certain versions. Be sure to use the uninstall tool first. If that's a new card it's probably designed for Windows 10. If that's the case I don't know how to help you further. Windows 10 has a newer version of directx. I'm not sure if that's a factor in your problem or not.

So long story short I had to run both cards to get stuff to work. 474.11 works for both cards and is signed.

I got the Nvidia tool to run to fix the displayport, but it didn't fix the displayport. That's why I ended up running both cards, one for each screen. Of course that broke a different app lol. I'm on that forum as well since it looks like I'll have to run both cards.

From what I'm reading this displayport issue is not only common, it's also in 10, so upgrading won't help me.

From what I read it seems either that tool or updating bios helped some people. But no other fixes were out there that I read.

I even tried to put windows 10 on another SSD. Same issue.
