New Graphic Card: Extended Display Problem

    Hi,

I have Acer eMachines EL1352-215S7 and recently installed GV-R455HM-512I graphic card to enable using dual monitor. But, I can't choose extended display in my display setting. From CCC, no option for extended display only duplicate or single display. I has downloaded and installed latest driver but the problem still exist.

Then, I changed to another graphic card SAPPHIRE HD 4350 512MB DDR2 PCI-E which proven installed at another computer and has extended mode. But, after installed in Acer eMachines EL1352-215S7 the same problem still exist.

    Please help and thank you.

What edition of Windows 7 is the other PC using? I ask because from what I'm reading, apparently Windows 7 Starter cripples this and does not support multiple monitors. Therefore, you would have to upgrade to at least Home Premium to get this functionality.

Other PC: Windows 7 Home Premium. Any work around to resolve it apart from upgrade the windows?

You can try this software: Dual Monitor Software to Control Dual Monitor Computer. I haven't tried it as I've never run into this problem but it's worth a shot.

I read through the forum and heard about this software. But, i am not really keen on it based on the features that listed. I am just need a simple extended display which separate the primary screen with the presentation or projection screen. Thanks for the suggestion.

For your info, I just find out the problem due to Extended display features not available for Windows 7 starter. http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...7-642d03ce2f75
