HIS Radeon 4350 impossible to install driver

    Hello everyone,

I'm having a terrible time with this ATI Catalyst driver. Yes, I've read all of the sticky topics and nothing works. I have an HIS Radeon 4350. No drivers downloaded from anywhere work. When I run the install software, it fails after I click the gold "install" button. I get a Windows 7 error report with the same old "DisableSessions" solution, which does absolutely nothing. It runs, I see the "success" message, I even looked in the registry to make sure the keys were gone. They are and the Catalyst driver still will not install. Yes, I even tried compatibility mode, sadly on the compatibility dropdown, I see "Widows XP SP1" and it's disaabled so I can't change it.

Also, I have no surround sound. Yes, I have the ATI DVI/HDMI adapter. Yes I downloaded and installed the Realtek HDMI driver. It only shows two channels. No clue what's going on there either.

Why is it completely impossible to install any software for this video card? I've tried everything. Haven't I?

I really need some advice from an expert.

    Thanks everyone

    Mark

    hi,

which driver are you trying to install? The ATI Windows 7 Beta driver or the latest vista driver?

I have a ATI Radeon HD 4350 512 MB PCIe and when I tried to install the 9.2 Cataylst for Vista (in compatability mode) it wouldnt work for me either. tried all ways and still no go. I decided to go with the ATI beta driver for Windows 7 and it installed with no issues (so far).

    Desktop specs:
    Biostar A770 AM2+ motherboard
    AMD Athlon 64x2 5600+
    ATI Radeon HD4350 512MB PCIe
    WD 160 Sata HDD
    Realtek HD Audio (onboard)
    Realtek LAN (onboard)
    linksys usb wireless adapter

here is a link for the ATI windows 7 driver from ati:

I have the His Digital HD 3850 AGP card that requires the hotfix drivers because it's AGP. I have had no issues though whatsoever related to installing drivers on 7000 and 7022. I currently have the 9.2 hotfix installed for XPSP3 and 7000. I did not use the win 7 drivers. Instead, I used Vista for the 7000 install. Sorry I'm not much help but surely, your card should accept the drivers on win 7.

Have you tried installing manually from the device manager? If that goes well, you could install the other stuff like ccc and avivo separately after.

@brusse01: I tried both, same error for both

@torrentg: I got the drivers to install this way, however, "CCC" won't install.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm at work so I can't type long. I'll post my detailed system specs this eve when I get home.

I believe this is resolved: check out the FIX: An application that uses the Mfc80.dll module or the Mfc80u.dll module crashes after you install a product that updates the module version fix
I can now install CCC and it seems ok , I am hoping it resolves the issue of no wake up on my Dell 545MT Win7-64 Ultra
    Hoping this helps
