    Well the older gfx cards I used to take apart were just gauze.... My 7300, 7600, 5300 were all a gauze like mesh with a thermal compound. But they might have changed that, or it just might have been different manufacturer. Anyways, it should work.

    i'd be just as happy with a new amd 12 core and 2 5970's on cf i don't see anything beating the gpu setup anyway

    As of now.... Just wait for the future releases. And really I'd go for the Intel stuff, AMD doesn't have HT tech, which isn't really needed though lolz
