VGA not being compatable? That shouldn't be the issue. We need to know what's going on, start from the top and list symptoms and what errors are popping up if any.

You can try and install it from device manager. Download and unpack the driver, then stop. Go to device manager display>update driver>browse my computer>let me pick>have disk>point it to the downloaded driver .inf file and double click it> hit ok, let it install. NVIDIA DRIVERS 195.62 WHQL Hope this will help Fabe

Thanks pebbly: I understand that I was just trying to make sure it was installed correctly. It's a little hard to understand exactly what he is talking about. (no offence intended). A lot of times resolution problems can be cured once a driver for the monitor is installed and the native resolution reconized. He may also want to check his cables and the pins. As well as listing his monitor so we cn see if their is a driver for it. Fabe

hi thefabe yes it does sound more monitor related than card, it really pays to fill in system specs so others have a better oppertunity to offer advice

so are you trying to say that the card is not compatible with vga on windows 7? the compatability list you pointed to is for xp/vista only i think you will find it is compatible with 7 . have you tried loading the driver in compatibility mode for vista? when you swapped the monitor over to your gf's pc did you also swap cables?
