    Resolution problem need help!

So here's my issue, I am using a dual screen display using an lg for my main and a sony bravia 40 inch lcd for my secondary monitor. I recently switched from 32 bit vista to 64 bit 7. With this switch i got new drivers for my nvidia 9800gtx+. Anyways when running vista i was able to get a custom resolution to display at 1920x1080 on my television by changing the timing under custom resolutions; however the 1920x1080 resolution present in the control panel will not display on my tv and i when i create a custom resolution with different timing it will not display because it tells me that the resolution already exists. So can anyone help me figure out how to create a duplicate resolution with different timing or just delete the 1920x1080 resolution present already within the nvidia control panel? Help would be greatly appreciated.

I open the nvidia control panel, go to change resolution, click add resolutions(which after i click add resolutions is where the built in 1920x1080 resolution is located that will not work), and then click create custom resolution

for anyone else who has had this problem the way i fixed it was going from a dvi->vga connection to a dvi->hdmi connection.
