    remember AGES back... i told you the i7 would be the best/fastest for a long time. but still too expensive! is an i5 faster tho?

    I'd for for a phenom 965 rather than i5 or i7 - yes intel is faster, but do you actually need that speed?

    Just so I get this straight, and yes I am on a couple of OC forums, but generally speaking, if I change nothing else BUT continue to increase the CPU's clock, am I unleashing more juice from my video card?

    in general the higher CPU frequency allows for greater data throughput from CPU to chipset, which = a faster throughput from CPU/chipset to GPU. :)

    as you can see from the benches i listed, i bottleneck quite badly with this card & my chip is not that slow.
