1080p HDTV only supports 720p?

    Sorry for the long delay on answering this, but yes i have tried to use the HDMI and i achieved 1080p BUT the image quality was crappy.
    So, is this like forcing it to use 1080p?

    you have to be able to feed it a 1080P signal over the HDMI just because you use the HDMI cable it does not mean your getting 1080P send it signal from a game or a Blu-Ray then you will see 1080P that's the thing with 1080P HDTV's they can tend to not look so good when given less than a 1080P signal
