    Asus A6JE LCD vanishes from system when lid is closed


    I recently installed Windows 7 x64 on Asus A6JE everything seemed OK but Video driver is giving me a headache. NB is equipped with ATI Mobility radeon x1450 (which is actually just OC x1400), since ASUS support is non-existent, i tried Catalyst 9.2, Catalyst 9.12, all with modded .inf, and all installed OK. (My setup - notebook LCD panel [1280x800] image cloned and stretched on external LCD monitor [1440x900] connected via DVI, most of the time i use both)I was happy until i realized that after closing the lid notebook LCD panel disappears from system!!! , resolution automatically changes to 1440x900 and no matter what i cant get image back on it (it is not among display devices, nor can it be detected) without restart. If i try to chage res. before closing lid, res. automaticaly changes to 1440x900, buit-in LCD again disapears from system and win gets me error that setting cant be saved. Of course in OS power cheme i has set no action on lid manipulation. Its pretty anoying, since it worken on XP and its working to some point with native OS driver. BTW in catalyst control center advanced there is no option to change resolution and cloning, and i have no idea why. If someone would try to hepl please, and if any other info is required jus ask, thx.

    Problem solved


    I just solbed problem by updating BIOS to verson .207 , in ASUS description update fixex LCD baclight... confusing since problem is not backlihgt but the caft that whole LCD panel is "removed" from a system and not returned back when lid is reopened. Just if anyone has this issue, BIOS update is a solution.
