    emachines 4260

    Hi,
    Great forum.

This is my first thread on here.
The problem I've got is that after installing windows 7 on my emachines 4260, is that the graphics don't work properly.I've only got a standard graphics card.
I'd like to buy and install something a bit more up to date to get everything back on track. The problem is I'm not sure which one to buy,or for that matter compatable.I'd be very grateful for any help.

    Welcome.
To get you started, you should start by filling in your system specifications so that I, or anyone else, may be able to steer you in a right direction. :)

Hello Guitarman417, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

In looking at this web site: eMachines Support: Drivers and Downloads
there are several models none of which can be identified by 4260. There are C, D, E, EL, ET, EZ, and more. So we can't even determine what type of graphics socket is available to recommend video cards without more info from you.

Older computers like yours used the AGP type video card. What ever you find you have, you can look here at the Windows 7 Compatibility Web Site for choices of replacement video cards.

Windows 7 Compatibility for Graphics Cards & Components: Graphics Cards Hardware: Download Device Drivers

    Cheers!
