Need help with Windows 7 windows size

Ok, well I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and everything is large! The windows are large, my start menu is also huge and so is my mouse cursor! Just say that everything that is on my screen is bigger than normal. Ive tried EVERYTHING to fix this and ive tried for weeks now. Its not my monitor, I have a really good monitor. It wont let me change my resolution either. Ive been told it can be my video card and that it needs updated drivers. I have a standard VGA graphics adapter. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? It is really annoying and I really wanna make it normal size, thanks!

We really could use some more info on your hardware of your system

Also could you run CPU-Z (Freeware) to see the make of your graphics adapter

Its on my motherboard. Ive not put one in it myself, it is the original VGA adapter. Its a good vga but I dont think it had the right drivers to support windows 7 ultimate just because its new. I think I need to find the drivers for it but I have no idea were to get them for free

Yup. I also ran a driver update software that only scans for free but doesnt install the drivers for free. It says that my vga adapter needs the latest updates but I have no idea how to get them. This windows size is just gettin on my nerves.
