New graphic card -> Stuck at start up

I just finished upgrading my g-card from a nVidia 9800 GT to a Radeon HD 5770, now when i turn on my comp, it gets stuck at the windows start up screen.

I tried putting back in my old g-card and it starts up fine, I also used driver sweeper and uninstalled my nvidia drivers but still no luck. I also cleared my CMOS, still no luck. I'm out of ideas!!

    HELP!!

Well, after about 20 mins of sitting at the boot screen my computer finally boots up :)

Why is it taking so long to boot? I should also include that when I had my nvidia 9800 GT it took about 7 mins to boot up which i still havn't gotten around to fixing.

    Hi ALPH4....:)

enter ''safe mode'', run ''driver sweeper'' (for old Nvidia drivers) & reboot.

ive just made the jump from Nvidia to ATI & this happened to me, i found out VERY fast that ATI H/W is VERY finicky.

are you plugged into the correct DVI port..??, all PCIE connections are present..??

    what PSU do you have..??

i wouldn't worry too much, your able to reach the BIOS....thats 80% of the battle won.

EDIT: i see your at windows now, its getting there....lol
