    Hello Joe, Welcome!

You need some drivers for your card, either ones you download from the manufacturer or the ones Windows find automatically. Chances are, the ones Windows finds will work fine, but if anything goes wrong, go to the manufacturer.

I've got an 1800GTO that is the same way. Real hot. Generally between 60 and 63C. I also have a newer card on the way. I don't want stellar performance but I would like to keep the graphics sub-system from crashing due to overheated card issues.

You trying the latest Catalyst or this one,

    ATI Catalyst? Legacy Display Driver

The legacy driver should work on your cards, I have it working on a second computer with a 1950 Pro in it and it works just fine.
