Sorry if I was a little unclear.
Your graphics chip is permanently fixed to your motherboard, and there is no spare slot that will fit in a Windows 7 Aero capable graphics add on card.
The IBM ThinkCentre 8138 was built for a business environment, and it's graphics are not able to be upgraded.

    I have AW m17 Laptop
Installed Win Ultimate 64 on it

& Trying to Remove & install Ati 9.12
But after i remove old driver & restart
it Auto loads the old driver & installs it

    I uninstall
Boot in sfae mod run driver sweeper
restart & Old driver starts to auto load
Where are you getting the drivers from? I would recommend getting them from AW since they are customized for that laptop. Here's a link:

Alienware : The Ultimate Gaming Machine?

Unless they note it in the readme file you won't know. but that link is the latest thing AW has. You can try the ATI drivers from the website but they recommend not doing it for mobile chipsets for the reason I discussed earlier. Use your best judgment. I wouldn't if it were mine.

    Hello, Orpheous!

Your graphics chip is permanently fixed to your motherboard, and there is no spare slot that will fit in a Windows 7 Aero capable graphics add on card.
I consulted to the man who made this Computer for me. He said 1 Graphic Card 64MB is built-in with mother board and one slot is free, so you can buy another external Graphic card of 128MB and fix in remaining slot. Is it correct?

Another thing is that Microsoft have given their requirnment for Windows 7 Ultimate: which is Graphic Card must be supported directX 9 and WDDM 1.0 and must have 128MB of free space. So if I plug another (external) same Graphic Card (Intel 82865G) of 128MB (64MB of built-in card) then would it be suitable for Microsoft requirnments?

My apologies for the mistake. It appears that I had typed 8138 instead of 8183, however, the information for that model is still correct. As you can see on the ThinkCentre 8183 product page, in the "slots" section:
"Slot 1: full height, half length, 32-bit PCI 2.2 (5v)
Slot 2: full height, half length, 32-bit PCI 2.2 (5v)"

Unless the original motherboard has been replaced at some stage, you will not be able to fit an AGP or PCI-E graphics card onto that motherboard.

Just out of curiosity, please download, install and run Belarc Advisor on your system. Once installed, allow it to update, then copy and paste the information in the System Model and Main Circuit Board sections back here in a reply. I'm curious to see if "the guy who built it" has changed your motherboard already, and if so, to what? :)

    Hello, Orpheous!

I have uploaded the Log File that has been generated by Belarc Advisor in Microsoft Office (.doc) formate. You can download this file and see.

You report shows that you still have the original motherboard...
I have a few PCI video cards here in my workshop, I think they have 8 or 16 Mb of RAM each
