Installed latest drivers for the motherboard, still crashes of course.

The problem has to be in windows. Why does it work when I have just installed my drivers? Then magically corrupts doing anything windows related.

mate....im seeing the EXACT same thing, this is the first driver ''EVER'' ive known to actually get worse with prolonged use....., its something ive never seen before.

just after install the performance is STELLAR, then the framerate starts to gradually drop & i start to get terrible stuttering im all games..??

im arguing with ppl all over the place b/c they tell me ''im mad'', or ''its user error'' , no its these useless drivers corrupting themselves when an app they dont like is started.

but....that said, it is early days for these cards & it is an easily fixed problem, but its not anything we can debug, WE NEED BETTER DRIVERS!!

i would love to offer you a quick fix, but im still looking

You're the first I've seen with that problem too, and it confirms the problem.

I wish it was just slow degredation though. Its just instant driver corruption, no mercy.

When I am able to play though with a fresh driver install its magnificent. Amazing Graphics and fps in Dirt 2 maxed out, I even watch the replays just being amazed with the graphics.

However I don't get why it works for others.

that's ATI for you, the ''Inconsistency Kings''

the 10.1 BETA driver is rumored to be released @ ''21.00 Greece time'', so hopefully we wont have to put up with the heartache for much longer....

Cmon ATI....... i know you can be GREAT!!

    Thats +2, I'm at +1, so in about 1:15

Somehow I don't think that driver is gonna fix it, but I waited with the RMA because I had hopes for a quick Windows tweak to keep the drivers working beyond any windows activity.

Yeah that or the card is broken and I will have to undergo psychological torture from the customer unfriendly supplier that has no stock or regard for administration or timeliness, with me having zero patience after a week of this.

What else would you expect from a card that can be used as a bludgeon?
