I have no idea about catalyst 10.1, but maybe your freezes are of a different nature than mine, thats why I ask for more specific information.

    I had the same issue.
I thought that it is a driver problem but it is not.
I have tried 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 beta, 10.3 alpha and still games tend to freeze after 15 minutes to 1 hour.
Screen crashes and you could not do anything just reset.

I thought after it might be my psu.
So I changed to a 850W power supply from Corsair, but after 20 minutes it did freeze again in Bad company 2.

    Then I reinstalled windows.
    But the problem remained.

Last try I sent back the video card to change it for a new one.
    Hopefully it won't be faulty.

Man, that was a long time ago..

I troubleshooted that thing to death, bought a new 1000W corsair PSU, but it was just broken. I sent it back and got a refund.

Before that I had already bought 2x 5870s from Asus, and they worked like a charm, still do..Never had a problem with them, even heavily overclocked.

My advice is. If you got a 5xxx series card that doesn't work properly, don't hesitate and RMA it..or get a refund and buy another one somewhere else.

    Yeah thanks.

I rma-ed it and it works properly now.

Such an expensive card and these problems persist...
