    Peek at windows / aero

I have an Nvidia Card and on this site i found the instrcutions on how to get Windows 7 to have a true 60hz refresh rate:

Screen Refresh Rate - Custom for NVIDIA Brand

A month later i noticed by accident the " PEEK AT DESKTOP" is greyed out on the desktop, but i still have an Aero theme and Aero attributes just the options for Aero are greyed out. I wonder if the custom display effects Aero, I have not tried it yet ( being im on travel ) but I was wonder what everyone else thought?

Another questions is about the Aero effects via RDP. Hovering over an in use tab on the taskabr when you are RDP into the desktop via LogMeIN create an issue where it does not show the picture of what is going on in the tab but shows just the name and link like in XP.

After reading some of the other threads, i looke dunder Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools\Advanced Tools and found that " enable Aero Peek " was not in the option list to check or uncheck. i am really leaning toward the customized display being the issue here.....
