I was using an eVGA 7600GT but recently installed a GTS 250SC. In the case of the former I was using the Win7 drivers. I uninstalled the card and the drivers from Win7, used Drive Sweeper to clean things out, and then installed the 250SC and installed nVidia's drivers. I use a Sony FW900 CRT monitor at 1600x1024, 32 bit color.
In the case of both cards, if I grabbed the title bar of something like IE with the mouse and dragged it to push "beyond" the edge of the top of the display, the entire display will suddenly be masked by a translucent blue cast. As soon as I pull the title bar back "into" the desktop boundary it disappears.
