    Component Video Blues

I'm having issues with the component HDTV out on my Nvidia 8400GS card.
Boot screen shows up @ 480i then works until after the Microsoft bar goes across the screen then drops out of vertical sync.

Works @ 480i in safe mode.
    Worked before reinstalling W7.
Works @ 1080i in clone mode
DVI works fine in 480i/p and 1080i.

Someone awhile back had a similiar problem and it was traced back to the chipset drivers for the motherboard. You never said if you installed 64 bit or 32 bit.
Go check the ASUS website for your MB and check the Chipset update for NVidea.
    Hope this helps

Already tried that. Tried the 32bit and 64bit installs, same issue. Worked with 64bit before.
I'm starting to suspect it's because W7 wasn't getting installed on the primary partition. When installing it would make the 1st partition active and install the OS on the 2nd partition. I'm doign a move usign a Linux utility and going to try installing on the 1st partition.
