    Out Of Range

    Right guys

My primary display works fine @ 1024x768 if I try to duplicate or extend to the 2nd they both go out of range.

However I can duplicate them @ 800x600 but no extend @ this resoulution.

I have the latest drivers from Nvidia site

    Any ideas???

How are you setting these display options? Are you using Screen Resolution from the right-click menu, or are you going into the nVidia control panel?

Also, what are you using as your secondary display?

what are you using for a power supply to power this system it's not listed in your specs.....why do so many people overlook the power supply like it's not important?

The thing is I had the setup working before on the same PSU.

I just had to upgrade my graphics card to the one listed in my Specs.

I did a clean install of 7 because I put xp on which knocks the bootloader out, so I'm just curious why I cannot get back to my previous setup.

Have you tried using other drivers? Try the last drivers, not the most recent ones.

you have a pretty good load there with that hardware if you already have a power supply that's been barely enough to power this system it could be showing signs of failure with the symptom you describe which to me sounds like lack of power if you could post the spec on that or a model number I will check it out

need I say more your power supply is not enough watts is not everything either these cards draw a lot of Amps you need a minimum of about a 550 watt power supply that can deliver about 40 amps on a single rail to power a system like that correctly

The card itself says I need 450w, but having booted in Vista to test your power theory, there is no problem.

So it cant be the power supply, I did say that it couldn't be the PSU, surely if the there was not enough power the system wouldn't boot at all????
