    It's just connected with thingy to the power supply and 1 to the motherboard. isnt that normal?

    Yes, and it may not support SATA II - either way your performance will not be affected too much - what was the subscore for the HDD in your WEI?.

    The WD2500JD is a SATA 1 (1.5Gb/s) drive.

    I thought it might be a 3Gb/s drive with a 1.5Gb/s compatibility jumper in place, but no.

    (I doubt that it's an issue in practice. The original WDC 10,000 RPM 36GB Raptor drives used a 1.5Gb/s interface, for example.)

    I don't know if you'll get better fps, I don't think that changed for me. But 7 runs alot smoother than Vista overall. I do notice a difference.
