funny display on my netbook

Hi Guys,

I have been using Windows 7 on my Hp mini 2133 netbook foir a couple of months. Well i got infected by a ddos bot so I formatted my hardrive and reinstalled a new copy of windows 7. The only problem I have now is that everything is really big and not much fits on my screen. I have tried to change resolution but it says I cant as its a netbook. However, I know its possible because I have had it much smaller before. The funny thing is that I didnt do anything last time it was just like that. Its very annoying because nothing fits on the screen and when I open the properties of a programme I cant click apply or ok because it doesnt fit on the screen and I cant drag it because of this stupid snap feature.
