"Display Adaptor" missing - not driver related
Last night I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, a fresh copy not an upgrade from Vista and my display adaptor is not showing up in the device manager. At first I thought the simple solution would be to install the drivers. But, it seems that windows does not even detect my video card, so the drivers will not even install, because the Hardware is not detected.
I reinstalled XP last night and the video card works perfectly, actually everything works in XP, so I know the video card is not bad.
I just do not understand why Windows 7 does not see the card.
I have tried just about everything I know to do.
I upgraded my MOBO BIOS and installed the latest chipset software.
I physically reinstalled the card, to make sure it was properly seated.
I have tried to "add legacy hardware" from the device manager and selected the "Display Adaptor" option, but all that does is give me a list of intel adaptors, so that does not work.
