I have tried everything you guys suggested and I am still having problems. This is quite a mystery. I am begining to think that Windows 7 64bit just does not aggree with my system setup. I hate that I spent money on the OS only to now go back to XP. I wonder if the 32bit version would have these problems?
If anyone has any more ideas, even if your suggestion is to take a large hammer to my machine, I will try it.

In the old XP days I just used to right click and delete all the highlighted problems and let the system "re-discover" them!
I have set my BIOS to the default settings and the same problem is present. I have the latest BIOS update. Also my video card and MOBO work together when I was using XP.
When I start the system in safe mode and disable the "PCI-Input Device" and delete the "PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge"...
...and then "scan for hardware changes" the video card is detected and no error triangle is show.
I can also install the drivers

But upon a reboot, the display adaptor dissapears and all error triangles on the PCI items return.
It must be related to resources that are available.
Can you install your audio drivers please.
Put the video card in another PCI-e slot.
Then, boot in safe mode and remove the PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge. Also in BIOS , make sure unneeded ports are disabled. Serial, Parallel, fire wire etc.
Yeah, I need to install the audio drivers, that will rid me of the "PCI Input Device" error triangle.
I have tried putting the card in the other PCI-E slot and performing the same techniques that I have when it was in the slot that it is now. All serial, parallel and 1394 ports have been disabled, and I still get the same results.
I am beginning to think that Windows 7 just does not like my setup. The combination of the MOBO and the Video Card just does not mesh with Windows 7.
Looks like I will just go back to XP
Dont suppose anyone found a solution for this? Im having the same problem, i got a Radeon X1900XTX i tried everything to install a driver then i came across this thread. Im having the same problem atleast now i know drivers wont install cause the hardware cant even be detected

(new issue - first post above - for anyone going to read whole thread)
The Radeon x1900XTX is only supported in the Legacy Catalyst drivers. The Legacy drivers are for XP/Vista but I think you can force an install on Win7 with the Device Manager Have Disk method or maybe Vista Compatibility mode.
Failing that, you could always change these two lines in the drivers .inf file
from
%ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTamd64.6.0
[ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.6.0]
to
%ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTamd64.6.1
[ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.6.1]
then install as normal

This is what I been trying and its working for other people even my friend who has some less known built in ATI agraphics. But these people didnt have the problem of Display Adapter not showing up so i can only assume its gotta do with this. I had to go to Add Legacy Device and select Display Adaptor from that list to even get to Have Disk. When i use Have Disk and select the INF file (i did edit it) nothing happens.....nothing shows up on the list and i cant click next or anything?
One other thing If I tried to install a more recent driver supposrted by Vista or Win7 whould it not install anyway even if it dont support my card? I remember accidently doing this in XP but in Win7 i cant get any display drivers to install legacy or up to date.
Problem solved:P after days of tryin to figure this out all it took was a BIOS update lol
