No more 2d/3d clock changes during aero! , finally!

    190.98

EDIT : Laggy performance in battlefield 2 and it looks as if vsync at times is off seems to be some strange shimmering/tearing as i move.

    Going back to 190.64

Anyone have video scaling problems with 190.62 (or any 190s)?

I've been wacthing videos with 16:9 aspect ratios, but they don't fill my screen (16:9 in 1920x1080 resolution). I have a black bar to the right and a thin black bar on the left. And there's a few other videos I have, not the same ratio, but still not fully filling the screen as it should on the left and right.

I've tried the different scaling options in Nvidia control panel, but nothing seems to help.

They fill my 19" tv fine in 1440x900 resolution, just not my 24" monitor.

Saying that, when I try to change the scaling options in NVCP, it always reverts to "use my monitor's built in scaling".

Everlong...what is the resolution of your videos? I am running 190.62 on my 9600GT OC, no scaling issues here, though I did run the driver cleaner before installation of 190.62.

They're 640x368 in 16:9 aspect ratio, and I get the same problem on my TV too when I look closer. Just as the TV is smaller than my monitor, it doesn't seem as clear. I always install my drivers with driver sweeper, and I have the same problem with various drivers.

I guess it's just how the video file is saved.

640x368 is slightly less than a 16:9, 1.778 aspect ratio. 640x368 is 1.739, so you would see very thin black bars on the sides. 640x360 would be 1.778 and will fill out your screen.

Hi Neil, thanks for the update again, you must search for these everyday as your always the first to report them.

However, have you installed them yet and are there any noticeable changes or improvements, also one big thing I want to know, is the problem with the clocks alternating all the time been fixed yet?

    Thanks Mark.

Give me 5-10mins and i'll let you know :)

The 2D/3D clock switching on windows 7 with aero is fixed ! , the Control Panel is fast and responsive..

However just like the 190.89 battlefield 2 has that texture shimmer just beyond my feet as i run. It's like vsync is off just at that part of the screen it also felt laggy at times. Didn't do this with the beta 190.64 or 186's

Thanks Neil I will give them a go then and see how I go, I don't have Battlefield so I cant test that but I will see if any of my games display the same problem.
