Thank you for the update Aaron.

Strange, it's still showing only the 197.41 WHQL version through the normal driver download area for the 400 series.

I think it's because these are only for 4-way sli setup with 470/480.
The links are there for them though, if you happen to have that setup.

Wouldn't it be nice to have though. You could pop some popcorn on them while watching a movie.

After finally getting my 7600 GS to work properly, I am very hesitant to try another driver!
I don't think it's really worth upgrading drivers for the older range of cards anyway, I've not actually seen much of any improvement with my 8800GTS cards since the 182.xx range.. Most of the time, newer drivers are just to support new GPU features.
That is my line of thinking, too. And if it ain't broke...
I have a 9600GT OC, and ever since I can remember before 191.xx drivers (on XP and W7) I was having odd shadow problems in WoW. Most all of that has been fixed, and been trying every new driver since 191.xx to see if the final lil shadow problems would be fixed, but haven't yet. But some commented on my YT vid that the problems could be an issue with my Chipset, MCP78S [GeForce 8200].

I've just tried 197.45 for a while with my 9600GT .. not sure if it was these drivers, but on WoW my char was turning on the spot jerkily, not smooth, like turning at every hour on the face of a clock but fast. All other animations were smooth and normal. Driver Sweeping and trying 197.13 WHQL (I've been using and were very happy with 196.21 since their release)

If I get the same jerky turning, I'll FRAPS it and YT it, if anyones interested.

Yeah, I can confirm that with the new drivers... With my 8800GTS cards I was getting way better performance with the older drivers, these new 197.45 drivers aren't working too well. I've been thinking of going back to the trusted 196.21 for a few days now..

I can also say that the most current Notebook drivers (based partially on the best desktop drivers at the time....) sometimes boot Aero off and then back on

    Nvidia....you better fix this

197.13 is nice and smooth, no more odd Jerkyness on WoW. Gona give these 197.13 a try for a while, but IMHO the 196.21 have been best I've used so far.

I might for S&Gs try 197.45 again to see if the odd jerkyness happens again.

edit: Is it because the 197.45 is referred as GeForce Release 197, and the other versions are referred as GeForce/ION Release ?
