263.14 doesn't come up on the beta/archived driver search for my 8800 GT and Win 7 64-bit, but I did see a beta release today (01-04-2011) for the card - 266.35). I was begining to think that 260.99 was the last for this older card.

266.58 WHQL out. For 400 series as well.

FWIW my WEI for graphics went up from 7.2 to 7.3 (GTS 450) but my Peacekeeper graphics scores (2D accelerated with Firefox pre beta10) seem to have gone down some. I am getting nightly Firefox beta builds - though I don;t think I got one between Peacekeeper runs, I could have. That is all I had time to do for now.

EDIT - my Peacekeeper score, after running again, is about the same as the 260.99. So 2D acceleration is about the same.

This is really weird. The installer simply uninstalled my old drivers and forgot to install the new ones altogether.

    I'll run it again.

Don't you just love VGA mode?

Edit: 2nd attempt failed to install any drivers despite it saying success. Am now trying a 3rd time. And no, my A/V isn't quarantining anything.

Has anyone experienced such a weird occurrence?

Well 3rd attempt to install these drivers failed also.

Despite it saying it installed it doesn't.....I'm reverting to the previous drivers.

Did you try the Custom installation and have it uninstall the previous version?

Tried both. It uninstalls the previous version anyway...as witnessed by the fact I ended up with no drivers at all.

I tried 2 seperate downloads from nVidia's download page too, just in case.

Thank God/MS for System Restore which works (sometimes).
