Just check the Clean Install box when installing the Nvidia drivers if you want.

They've rewritten the scaling in these drivers. Have some better options there, few options added to the Update notifier, etc. Quite a few improvements from the last set. Looking pretty good on my system so far. No probs here so far at least.

    you have my attention.

I am still using 182.50 (incidently very old now) drivers because they couldnt get scaling to work properly on the wddm drivers, but if they have redone the scaling then I may give these a shot.

    some good news from me.

I have tested nvidia's new drivers.

The options show when a analogue cable is used but the scaling is still dvi only, so I plugged in the dvi cable (spare rig uses analog usually as the monitor is aweful on dvi for some reason) and surprise surprise scaling works very well, even 640x480 which on 182.50 required a custom res to be added.

    There is 2 extra options.

First is to do scaling on gpu or display, when on display 640x480 failed but when gpu selected it worked. Second is an option to overide games that ignore the setting, which I guess will interest some people here.

I also ran some 2d benchmarks using passmark as incidently 19x nvidia wddm drivers were around 30% slower than 182.50 drivers and these new drivers have massively closed the gap, only an average of 1.8% slower now. (3.2% slower on 3d).

    This tested on a 7600GT.

The beta drivers bumped my 3dMark 11 scores by about 300 points.
    Anyone see similar results?
