im running the 190.56 revision, all is well.

except ive now lost the temp sensor in EVGA as well as the 2D downclock & RT wont work AT ALL.....

but other than the heat increase & the monitoring loss.... im happy thus far with performance.

    lol.....

my GPU is suffering while idle..... its @ 52c at the moment with 50% f.s.

its quite hot today but im about 10-12c hotter while idle.

but as long as i get smashing framerates & zero stutter, im happy.

I'm using 190.38 drivers and my idle temps are 44c at 66% fs.
It goes into high 50s after about half an hours gaming. Don't suppose that's that much different really given my higher fan speed.
What are temps like after gaming?

it does take a while longer to cool down, but ambient's are slightly higher than usual...

its not really an issue as the cards probably good for 100c , but seeing the clocks jump back & forth just leaves a niggle in the back of my head....lol

the cards can easily handle 100c.. I had a GTX 280 that within seconds of Crysis it would go to 109c.. but it played smooth as can be and not a single stutter, but the fan was tryin so hard to work and cool that it would start making a pulsating sound.. I went down to a 260 and was all good.

I'm about to install RTM, and not sure what drivers I should install. I'm thinking I'll just do the latest WHQL drivers to be safe

Hi Gunther. Sounds like a good plan. I'm running the RTM leaked version and, as you know, have been having some issues with 190.40 so dropped back to 190.38 which I think are latest WHQL drivers.
Haven't tried the 190.56 ones yet but it seems that W7 is pretty robust and handles everything more or less well.
There will be some new ones along any time I reckon.
    Are the 190.56 modded?

    Cheers, John
