I don't have any fan problems or problems with the core/memory speeds with the 190.xx drivers, but they just don't feel as smooth to use as 185.85. I had 190.62 installed, and using my computer felt slower and more sluggish and I lost all the HD monitor options in Nvidia control panel, but I get all the options with 185.85.

I also get a few problems with some games when using 186.18 and upwards. The 3D driver stuff has messed Star Wars Galaxies up for me and it takes forever to alt+tab out of games, even if I uninstall the 3D drivers, it's still sluggish.

Guess I'll be on 185.85 forever now
dude, i know exactly what your talking about i have tried pretty much every driver from nvidia 181.71 series upwards & the XG modded driver series and so far [with my system] i have found the 185.85 to be a perfect driver [again, for my system and o/s build]
framerates are silky, no random slowdowns, digital vibrance works lovely, AA+AF both work perfectly and textures look really nice.
i will still be testing probably all the next betas/whql and modded drivers but i can see that the 185.85 will most likely be the landmark driver for me

I'm going to install this when I get chance to with 190.62 drivers:

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 190.62 WHQL

    An interesting update note is:

Fixed some crashes due to memory leaks.
Maybe this fixes some of the slowdown problems I had with 190.62 drivers.

Nvidia 186.91 WHQL at Microsoft Update (all desktop + notebook cards)

compatible with just about every GPU from the GeForce 6 generation onwards due to the NV_WHQL.inf file in the packages
       Warning
These are from a 3rd party source and not from the official NVIDIA driver website.

    That's 186.91 not 168.91....;-)

Also: This driver does NOT come with PhysX and 3D Vision installers.

Is the above supposed to fix something that 190.62 doesn't?

    Hello Raxidian,

I would recommend to stick with the official ones directly from NVIDIA on the first post instead. :)

A vast majority would probably disagree with you on guru on the 190's , the 190.* series so far are utter crap!
