im on the 190's they're great gamers.....
the only issues ive heard about from these drivers are 2D clock related & the fact they're all over the place.
''utter crap'' is certainly not how i'd describe 190.xx performance.
i need geforce 8400gs new driver. but i can download "rar" or "zip" files ,only.
and there is "exe" file to download.
can anyone upload last "rar" or "zip" version file for me?
TNX.

Sorry Neil but I'd have to agree with Shawn and Skunk. The 190.62 drivers are running great on my system.
No crashes, stuttering etc, just fine.
sdotstar. Hi. I don't understand, why can't you download exe. files?
cheers all, John:)
I've been away for 2+ weeks, and before I went on vacation WU asked me to update to 190.38 (2009-08-25 to be exact). Since then whenever I play games and the GPU fan kicks into higher speed..it stays at high speeds even after I am done with the game until I restart the computer.
Anyone else notice this? Is the 190.62 not recommended?

OK I have read some of this thread and as I am new to nVidia video cards I am looking for so advice. I am running a gforce 8200m on a HD laptop screen, I downloaded the newest drivers, I think the 192.62 or what ever was released last certified by MS.
The only games I play run good, AA (America's army) soon to be AA3 with the new unreal engine.
now the only issue I have seen so far which I think is the driver is when I let my wife use the laptop and she plays flash games on myspace and the screen will flash black blocks, it doesn't do it often but its still something odd.
basicly I am wondering what people thing would be the best driver release for my video card, I know I won't get the best FPS in games but I know people know the setting to set in the nvidia control panel that could help. the games I play I know how to configure since for the first time playing the old AA I was able to get 70FPS with basic performance settings in the card settings and low settings in the game.
I have always used ATI or Matrox video cards so, any links to great reads or suggestions for settings would be great. I also use Photoshop CS4 package and some 3D apps which run great with default settings but I know every card can preform better with a little tweaking I'm just not sure the best places for info on nvidia
