On the manufacturer´s site there are only drivers for Windows Vista 32 bits. They don´t work on Windows 7 64 bits, or at least I don´t know how to do it.

I think I´m going to uninstall windows 7 64 bits and I´ll try with 64 bits. It´s a worry, but if I can´t make work drivers for my graphic card, it doesn´t worth it.

Thanks to everybody anyway!! You are very kind

    Hello Usi,

There is a 64-bit Vista driver version available that you can use to install on your 64- bit Windows 7. You will just need to select the 64-bit option under Operating Systems instead.

    Here's a direct link for the 64-bit though. :)

    GeForce Release 181

Oh, thank you, but it´s late, I´ve installed Windows 7 32 bits... and it´s the same. I can´t install drivers for 9600gt :-(

I am thinking that it´s impossible. I don´t understand why it doesn´t work...

    Thanks!!

Windows 7 should install the drivers for you in 32-bit.

Have you got Windows Update configured correctly as picture # 1?

Otherwise go to Device Manager and right-click the display adapter and select update driver and let Windows search online for it. (Picture #2)

It should. Otherwise check out NVidia's site for the Vista driver.

I think this is it but you should double check: nForce 15.01

Thank you, Ex_Brit. Well, I don´t have that option that you highlight in Windows Update. My WU looks like this:

And the problem is that my Windows Seven doesn´t "see" the 9600 gt:

Let´s try to give more information, maybe somebody cans find the solution to this problem...

    This is my laptop:

Notebook Shop - LG P310-S.CBRAG mit Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 2.53 GHz

    1,6 kg
    13,3''
    Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 2,53GHz 1066 6mg cache L2
    2x2 Gb de Ram DDR3 1066MHz
    NVidia 9600M GT 512 megas DDR3 dedicados
    320 GB S-ata 5200 rpm
    LAN, Bluetooth , wifi n
    Camara 2 mega pixeles
    Salidas: 3xUSB, rj45(10/100/1000),vga,hdmi,hp-out,Mic-in,smart Link
    Batería 6 celda 5200mAh
Unidad grabadora dvd externa de tipo bandeja
    card reader
    2Gbs memoria Robson

I have two partitions: one with Windows XP (and it works perfect, with the 9600gt and all the drivers), and another one where I am trying to install Windows 7. Later, I´ll do a new partition for data. Before this I had Windows Vista working perfect.

I have downloaded every drivers for Windows Vista from LG site, but they don´t work also.

I don´t know where is the problem, and I´m starting to get tired. I love Windows 7 (I used it in another laptop), but maybe it´s impossible to use it in my laptop.

    Do you need more information?

Thank you to everybody, truly!!! :):):)
