I finally got some time to look into this again and it worked like a charm - thanks a lot (and thank you bird 391 on the Tom's hardware site who wrote super clear instructions to the fix)!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to change screen resolution by editing a settings file or via the registry or even just by using the commad line. Is there a certian file somewhere that has the resolution setting in it i could alter. Thanks.
