Monitor loses contact with computer.
Ever since I bought this computer there's been problems with the monitor display. Sound seems to work all well - only the monitor goes "clicking" - switching between nothing (black) and the Fujitsu/Siemens logo with a clicking sound. Sometimes it's enough turning the monitor off for a couple of minutes, sometimes not. This analogue monitor is a couple of years old but works fine periodically.
Weather I connect it to the onboard or separate card graphics makes no difference.
The problem has never occurred while windows 7 is up and active. It either happens at start up (sometimes then it will not even display BIOS) - or as the computer has been "asleep" for a while. So now I've set the power saving mode in windows to 'never'. This improved the situation but far from solved it (the different BIOS modes S1 and S3 had no impact at all by the way).
Could it be power related? PS only 300W.
One thing not mentioned in my monitor specs is response time: 4ms gtg
Appreciate any help and inputs I can get!
