    Windows 7 RC resolution problems

Just have a big question I recently purchased an HP w2338h monitor, which is 23 inch wide screen lcd, and windows only shows up to 1600x1200 Resolution, when the monitor itself says it can get up to 1920x1080.

Might be the graphics card. Try updating its drivers and looking for drivers for your monitor.

Also, you may want to upgrade to the Final version of Windows as RC Expiration is just around the corner.

Have you tried either of the programs in this link? (I'm assuming your using 64-bit Windows)

Select software and drivers HP w2338h 23 inch LCD Monitor - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Drop the RC and at least use the trial version of the RTM code. The RC is set to start shutting down every two hours (without warning) soon.

When RC expires i'll just revert back to windows vista, but until then i still have a few good months, according to microsoft, But yes i have tried both those, neither are drivers.

Get Build 7600, it will most likely fix your issues, the RC is not fully optimised. I can't see why anyone would go back to Vista now that 7 is here.

New edition, preferably a fresh clean reformat.

You'll need to obtain a copy, you would be able to upgrade from RC to RTM although everyone on this forum including myself would advise you to do a clean install.
