While I like the Radeon 4890, it's really in a higher price league than the GTS 250. It does have much better performance though. The GTS 250 will let you play most games at medium or high detail settings and medium resolution, for $120 or so. The 4890 will do a lot better, but it's a $200+ card. I'm not a cutting edge gamer, I think I'll wait a while and probably trade in my GTS 250 for a 4890 when the price comes down to $150 or so on the 4890.
