Possibly you don't have the correct 64bit driver.

Just scroll down to the bottom of this topic, SevenForums will display a number of threaths with +/- the same problem. You could have a look there for starters. Otherwise, head over to the graphics card section and before you post, do a little search there, i'm sure you'll come up with plenty to read and try.

Check in device manager to see if your monitor/LCD is listed, or if it say PNP.
Sometime this happens when your monitor /LCD needs the driver installed for your LCd in order to get full use of it's native resolution. If you would provide the make and model number we can check and see if it has a driver avalible.
You can also find the latest driver for your card here NVIDIA DRIVERS 258.96 WHQL. Fabe

is windows updated and have you got the l8test Motherboard drivers installed along with the driver for video card/s also try installing drivers in Admin mode and if its still not working then theres a good chance windows is corrupted in some way ( it happend on my OLD lan pc HDD 500gb after so many installs of Vista/7 of the years ) so try backing up all info and do a format and a reinastall of windows and then try it
