not if you've got the power to run them....
OP.... this choice is gonna come down to a personal preference, whats more important to you..??, physX & an instant ''plug & play'' product or DX11 ready H/W
ATI drivers are poor, theyre getting a little better now but you have to have patience if your gonna grab the 5770.
if you buy the GTX260, driver support will be far better but its ''old hat'' now & when DX11 is more prominent we'll be back here again no doubt b/c your looking to buy a 5 series card or a Fermi offering..
if you wait a little longer NV will release Fermi & the ATI 5 series cards will drop in price (maybe not much on the 5770, but it may make the 5 series deal a bit sweeter..:))
really.......
have you played ''Batman AA'' fully maxed out (physX & settings) @ 2048x1152
have you even sampled the sheer graphical wonder that has been spawned with that game..??, its absolutley immense.
im not trying to push physX as some great ''must have'' tech, but what i am saying is it adds some very nice visuals (as long as you have the power to run them), otherwish it can bog down a system pretty quick.
i could live without it, but i think its pretty cool....
4890 and build the PC yourself - however what are the other specs? Everything counts in a gaming PC - software and hardware.
While PhysX is somewhat noticeable in Batman: Arkham Asylum (steam, fog, some destructible objects, cloth, etc), it's still not gameplay-altering. 100% eye candy.
PhysX alone is not gonna persuade me to buy an nVidia card. I'll go with the card that makes the most sense to me. If it turns out to be an nVidia card, then so be it.
Btw sorry if I came across as kind of an A-hole. It's just that this whole PhysX thing angers me. I don't understand why they just don't open-source it. It has so much potential. It would benefit us gamers like you wouldn't believe.
Well I have a good one for you guys, I have 3 Video Cards
1 x MSI N260GTX
2 x XFX HD 5770
so I looked at all the threads and everyone says to use the N260GTX
so here is my Question
would you still pick the N260GTX over using 2 x HD5770 what would be better?
