    5750 vs. 5770

    Looking into one of these cards so I can run 2 monitors and a hdtv. Anyhow besides port arraingments the only real difference I can see is a slight difference in clock speeds. And well, price. I don't consider myself a hard core gamer, but I do enjoy 3 or 4 titles* now and then. So I'm wondering how much of a performance hit/gain there is between the two, and am I missing any stand out details?
    Thanks.

    Graw2 runs great on my 3650, but I picked up a 5.1 sound system and looking to use the system for more of a home theater.

    Welcome to Seven Forums : If you'll do a quick Google search you'll find plenty of information on the differences. Simply type 5770 compared to 5750 and You find all kinds of comments and information. It would seem the biggest difference is resolution. The 5770 can run at a slightly higher resolution than the 5750. But that is just one article. Then of course clock speeds,gaming prformance ect. Fabe

    Fantail;

    I upgraded from an HD4550 to the XFX-HD5770. So far it works fine. I am also using a 24" and a 19" wide screen monitors on the DVI connectors. Also connected my 50" Samsung via HDMI without problems.

    So far the card runs cool at 37*C. Don't know about the 5750 but if you can afford the extra $$; get the 5770.

    Dragon Age and Crysis looked awesome.

    if you get a 5770 or 5750 try to get a asus or xfx one they seem to have the least driver issues, which that might not matter at all with the next driver release

    Higher clock speeds, higher clocked memory.
    If you look at some benchmarks (google '5770 vs 5750 benchmarks') you will see the difference in performance.

    You state that you are not a gamer; if you were the 5770 would whack the memory bandwith due to the 128-bit bus, and a 5870 would be better. For you, that should be fine.
