ATI 4800 HD win 7 64 flickering to bsod -_-

So heres the thing like the title says im getting flickering while gaming anything from WoW - Mass effect 2. after like 10 min the screen goes blank, starts up again and "ati had stopped responding" and sometimes after this the BSOD enters :/

i have installed and re-installed ati display drivers numerous of times, still i now get bsod on login to the desktop, and black lines all over the login screen and on desktop until bsod or "ati has stopped responding".

    symptoms:
    Lines
    Checkerboard patterns
    Flashing dots
    Giant triangles
    Graphical glitches
    Monitor flickering

Ive tried everything i could come up with, please help me out.
attaching DXdiag and minidumps from this period.

You have so many different causes that we have to start somewhere. with that many causes we must think hardware. The first thing to check is memory

Download memtestx86 and run it for 5 passes.

If it passes run a system file check
(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow)

    Let us know the results

You might also have a heat related problem since it starts after 10 minutes into gaming. You might want to make sure your fan settings are working correctly and their aren't any dust bunnies built up in the cards cooling fins. Another simple thing to try is opening up the case and putting a normal household fan blowing inside the case, then try gaming as usual. Between the memory testing and removing heat as causing your problem, this should narrow down the possible causes considerably. Fabe

Hi, I know this thread is old, but just in case anyone else has this problem I want to contribute my experience. I have had a similar problem with mini checkerboard-flickering, black lines, screen blanking and computer hanging. It started happening just after a windows update, and then the day after Windows Update detected a fix. Since I downloaded and installed the fix there is no problem.

I have to say, I often experience problems after windows updates. Luckily so far it hasn't been such a big problem that it stopped me from being able to install a fix, but there is a risk that could happen!

So my advice is, before you start pulling your pc apart, check for updates.
