Any 4xxx+ series or greater will work great, low end gaming as well. If you would like to go Nvidia i suggest the 285 or greater. Those are pretty good cards as well.

actually if you are going to spend the 300 to 400 steer clear of nvidia 200 series. i really like nvidis and currently have a 9500, but the 200 series is just a repackaged 9000 series. ati may have some issues with their drivers but between the ati 5700 series and the nvidia 200 series you will get far more band for your buck. plus you can always download ati drives that someone tweaked to work properly. try this site. when i do finally upgrade my vid card i am going with ati this time.

My choices rest between the 5850 and the 5870.

Just be sure it fits because these cards are big. Really big.

It is also bigger. Had I gone with the 5870 I would have been a extremely sad panda and probably would have to move my Hard rives outside the case, lol. But thats beacause I didnt want to spend money on a FULL ATX and I was scared it would be to big for my taste. Sometimes bigger isn't always better.

I'm using the Palit GTX 260 Sonic 216 896MB/ 448bit/ GDDR3...no problems yet and I purchased mine through Mwave.com really good price on it..I wasn't ready for the size of the card, it does look huge in there so make sure you have the room for it. And it also has really good OC settings you can adjust on it. I don't use the factory OC changing that came on the install disc. I use MSI Afterburner v1.5.0 to change any settings to fans and cores.
