Alternately, if you haven't, update the drivers. this might help....
If you have updated the drivers, you might want to try older drivers
or
checking with your mobo manufacturer for a BIOS update. If the card is not showing any problems, heat-wise or being set right, then it could be the way it is "talking" to the motherboard. Flashing the BIOS should only be done in a circumstance that fixes a problem and should not be taken lightly.
Alright Sam62. I understand now you have exhausted your resources on trying to troubleshoot this issue ..sorry..
Have you actually installed nVidia chipset and geforce drivers. Your original post looks like you are still running with Microsofts built in default nVidia drivers. Although with £200, you could get a nice update. Just make sure your PSU can handle the new card.
