No audio on TV using GEFORCE9400GT

Hi I have my tv linked to my 9400gt using a DVI/HDMI connection.

I am aware that the card does not do audio and video HD so on Vista set up my audio using a normal 3.5mm to phono jack on the onboard soundcard.

I have tried the same setup using Win 7 and for the life of me cant get the audio going.

    Anybody have any ideas?

No, i haven't, sorry bit of a novice with this, how do you do that?

I take it you go to control panel - hardware and sound - but where do you go next?

Right click your volume icon, click sounds, click playback, and select Headphones.

Are you using the same TV as you used when you had Vista?
And were you using HDMI before as well?

oh, give us the make/model of your TV as well.

I have the same card, and he's right, it definitely doesn't do audio over HDMI, only video.
