GTX 260 and Windows Experience Index

I have GTX 260 and Windows 7 home 64 b, and Windows Experience Index is just 2.0.
It's because of Gaming graphics is 2.0.
    All other indexes:
    Processor 7.5
    Memory 7.5
    Graphics 5.9
    Primary hard disk 5.9

Anyone have an idea why Gaming graphics is so low?
How to increase this index to any higher value?

    P.S.
Also have some problems with PC. Here is the tread's link:

    VGA GTX 260 SC ed
CPU Intel Duo Core Quad Q9550
    MB ASUS P5Q PRO

I have a 5.9 because of my PHD...like you...but my numbers a a bit lower than yours all around...check your driver...i rolled back to 195.62 because i was getting some crashes on the new driver, not the recalled one, but the newest approved one...my gaming rating is a 7.1

Hi Punkbull. Welcome to Seven Forums:)

I have a very similar rig to you, and a 260 GPU, and I'm getting 7.3 for both my graphics and gaming graphics scores.

I have just installed beta drivers 197.13 but I know that hasn't made any difference to my scores-they've remained at 7.3 through numerous driver updates in the 6 months since I built the rig.

Seems strange. Not sure what's wrong there.

ps. it says in my specs that I'm running my i7 at 4Ghz. Currently I'm at stock speed which gives me 7.7 on the WEI. Like everyone else my PHD keeps me at 5.9.

I would also use GPU-Z to make sure your card is running properly. The card might have a hardware defect that is making it run slower than it should. Are you noticing any slowness with the card or problem when running games?

Make sure all your drivers are up to date and run the 196.21 drivers for the GTX 260. I have the EVGA GTX 260 core216 superclocked and it scores 7.3 for WEI gfx.

    I have 196.21 drivers.
I haven't tried lot of games, only GTA IV, NBA 2k10 and Assassin's Creed (AC)
During GTA IV and AC sometimes GPU works really noise and
sometimes I got error that program stopped working properly.
In NBA there is no errors and GPU works fine (but the game it self isn't very difficult for the GPU)

Thorsen: I installed GPU-Z. How it can tell me, that something is wrong with GPU ?

I don't think it can. As far as I'm aware it just give the intricate details of your chip/card.

I wouldn't read too much into the wei, I've seen scores vary quite considerably for the same card.

    WEI = pinch of salt.
