Screen resolution problem

Have you got anything else attached. The PD421 is a Plasma HDTV connected via Analogue VGA.

With USB mouse, Printer and HSDP 3G modem. Keyboard on PS/2 and speakers. Nothing else. That's really weird. Oh, and also multicard reader is in inner USB. Dunno why 7 detects this monitor as that tv. In XP it works perfectly. Tried to install monitor drivers but it says that "Windows found the device but there is was a problem at installation" or something like that and below "File not found". Dunno what it's really in english cuz I've finnish Windows.

took me a while to find the driver. Seems Hyundai have taken it down and replaced it with a driver detective type wizzard. I've checked the driver file and it is the correct one.

Anyway, download this driver and use the Device Manager update to update driver by pointing it to where you downloaded it.

I've tried to install that driver but it doesn't install it :/

Using the 182.50 drivers can be a solution to your problem but i can't remember it worked for both 32 and 64-bit Windows 7, it certainly works for Win7 64-bit. Drivers higher then 182.50 can let you create your own custom res too but then these don't always work. Must admit that i didn't try the very latest drivers on this issue but i'm happy with 182.50.

I've the latest drivers and you can make own resolutions on them too. But it says that "Monitor doesn't support that resolution" :S

Drivers higher then 182.50 didn't work here either although some of those higher then 182.50 gave the option the create a custom res, none of those actualy worked (not sure about the very latest as i already said). 182.50 is THE driver to start with if you have res problems. Follow the steps from the link at Tom's Hardware (i did not need to go through the PowerStrip steps but a lot of other people needed those to make it work).
Another solution is to make your own EDID file.
