Nothing uses DX11 anyways, so it's a moot point at this time.

Nothing uses DX11 anyways? only windows 7...nothing more nothing less
some games do use DX11 such as DIRT 2 and a few others so not just windows 7 uses it and there are more and more games being built for DX11 and crysis 2 is supposed to have DX11 in built as well. so its good for future proofing
    For the record...

Difficult choice. The GTX probably outclass easily the 5770, however it is directx 10 only... I would wait a couple months if I was you.

    great choice.

I've had the MSI R5770 Hawk for a little over a month and its performed like a champ. It's quieter and cooler than most reference cards, even if you don't want to oc it. But if you do, Afterburner (Riva Tuner) and Kompressor (Furmark) will allow to reach 1000 mhz core and 1400 mhz memory pretty easily. I've been running 1008 core and 1408 mhz mem with no issues.

    once again, good luck

I had bought a 5770 originally, but it just didn't do it for me, so I returned it and got the 260...

I have the XFX 5770 on my Windows 7 setup and i have not had a single issue with it. I can play all the newest games at very good FPS. MW2, BioShock 2, Dirt 2, the card is very good at playing sequels. ;-)

i'm glad everything is working out well. It's easy to volley back and forth between which card is better, but truthfully they're both good. And judging by the fact that you plan on using this for a while, the 5770 was probably a much wiser decision.

    happy gaming
