BFG 8800GTS OC 512MB-26" Monitor?

Just a quick question. Does anyone know how a BFG 8800GTS OC 512MB would perform on a 26" or 27" monitor- movies, tv, some FPS gaming, general browsing?

Thanks, John:)

Thanks for responding. Not that much really I suppose.
It's going with my old pc into the bedroom so I'll mainly be watching movies and (when the DVB-T2 tuners arrive) watching HDTV. Plus some general browsing, forums etc, using the magnifier.

I have a neat trackball wireless keyboard so I could game, but I'll be in bed about 8 feet away so in reality I'll probably not bother.
I can always come in the lounge and play on my "new" one:)

I was going to go for something top quality like a 23" NEC IPS panel but then I thought about the GPU and whether this would be a waste of money when most likely I'm just gonna check my emails in the morning and watch TV and movies late at night anyway.

This made me think about size

^ What he said. Everything will be fine except for gaming... that is unless you want to play Pong, in which case you will rock! :)

Thanks for responding guys:)

It's a tough choice; a 26" IIyama looks nice but now the Samsung F2380 (with cPVA panel!) has caught my eye and it's a very good price.
Also I'm still tempted by the lovely NEC Multisync EA231WMi with it's IPS panel.
Maybe that's overkill in a bedroom situation

PS I can imagine the pc concerned will get my 260GTX when I upgrade to a FERMI chip in my main rig.

Okay so my buddy sent me his PC so that I could fix it, that's fine, all is dandy. I made it working 100% and then sent it back to him, but when he hooked it up his monitor wasn't displaying properly. His resolution was lowered, windows aero is disabled, the text is blurry, sometimes unreadable. I...

Dual-monitor system, one monitor "freezes"
I have a dual monitor system and I noticed that sometimes (occasionally) one of the screens has a condition where its windows stop accepting mouse clicks. I can still alt-tab into things and use arrow keys other keyboard buttons, but mouse clicks do not respond on that screen. In a few seconds it...

"Generic Non-PnP Monitor" Acer S240HL Tri Monitor setup.
Hi all, This issue really bugs me, every few months it'll happen, one of my three screens (9/10 times it's the Acer), will display as a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor", with this it'll only display in 640*480 (usually 1920*1080, same as the other 2 screens). This set up works perfectly most of the...

Setting up a multi-monitor display w/ a 20" HP monitor and a 32" LG TV
Some backstory: just one month ago, I started to think of what will be the other use of our TV and it's HDMI cable. When I cleaned out my PC, I noticed that my card has an HDMI port so something came into my mind; and after 2 weeks, I decided to use my TV for a larger monitor and it works fine. In...

Is my 8800GTS dying?
I've had my hardware setup for the past 3 years, and Windows 7 64-bit for the past year, without any problems. But since I moved to a new house a couple weeks ago, some issues have been cropping up. At first it would only happen in 3d games. I would get red snow across the screen, and the game...
